2013 Paul Morris Community Service Award

The Paul Morris Community Service Award was established by MSBA FutureBuilders to honor the memory of Paul Morris, a school board member from Mt. Vernon, who was serving as President of MSBA when he passed away on February 2, 2009. Paul devoted countless hours strengthening his community and improving its schools through his volunteer work. In addition to numerous community awards, he had served on the Mt. Vernon R-V Board of Education for nearly nine years and on MSBA’s Board of Directors for four years.

FutureBuilders, the non-profit educational foundation of MSBA, invites you to nominate a current or past public school board member from Missouri for the Paul Morris Community Service Award. This award is designed to recognize individuals who provide leadership to their communities through school board service as well as other community service activities.

The award recipient will be chosen based on their demonstrated commitment to public education, as well as their community service activities. Nominations will be accepted on-line from January 14, 2013 - March 29, 2013. The award recipient will be recognized at the MSBA Awards Banquet on Friday, June 7, 2013, as part of the MSBA Leadership Summit.

The recipient of the Paul Morris Community Service Award will also receive a $1,000 individual award.
